T-C Pups Day 17: Time for Toys!

The puppies received their first toys today, a soft, pink octopus, a laughing monkey and a comfy bunny! They were quite curious and enjoyed smelling, tasting and climbing all over the new toys. The pups have also begun interacting with each other and it is quite entertaining watching the beginnings of what will evolve into playing and socializing. Gradually, we will add other toys that make different snoise and offer different textures for the pups to explore.

T-C Pups Day 15: Bye Bye Basket

The pups are quickly outgrowing the basket and will soon be moved to a crate during clean up time. Yesterday, Mr. Red escaped and today, Mr. Orange made a get away. Don't worry, the basket was on the floor so it was a very safe landing.

T- C Pups Day 13: Morning Glory

Good morning!
The puppies were quite playful this morning and I enjoyed watching them play before putting them in the basket to change their pad.
They are so close to walking and wobble and then fall little drunken pups.

T-C Pups Day 12: On the move

All of the puppies eyes are open and they seem to be much more active.
Today they began interacting with each other.
They travel all over the whelping box and move fairly quickly.
Puppy push-ups! The pups are in the beginning stages of walking, pushing themselves up in the front, trying to lift their rears and then wobble and sometimes fall over.
Talk about getting bit in the butt! Fortunately, it will be weeks before the pups develop teeth.
So sleepy...
Puppy pile up when Trixie gets ready for a feeding.
We still have our daily routine of weighing, BioSensor and time in the basket while the lines are being changed. In the next day or so, I will add a door to the whelping box because once they get their "sea legs" and really start motoring around, they can escape fromt the box in no time!
