First snow of the season

Savi & Trixie
In the Northeast, we received our first storm of Winter 2013 and it turned our yard into a winter wonderland.  The girls donned their ChillyDog coats and were ready to play in the snow.
Savi's switch went off and she had a case of the zoomies!

Singing in the Rain

Trixie waiting to go to the studio
March rain storm on this Weimaraner Wednesday but Trixie stayed warm and dry with her ChillyDogs Rain Slicker. It just wouldn't have been proper for her to arrive at a modeling job with wet hair.  Today's photo shoot was for a greeting card company and boy did Trixie turn on the charm.  The client and photographer adored her and she did everything they asked with typical princess attitude....anything for a hot dog!  Trixie sat like a pro in the tilted swing, of course her agility training paid off and made that part easy.  They also loved her Mod Dog collar and asked that she wear it for the shoot.  All in a days work for this supermodel.  Hopefully we'll have on set photos to share and see the finished greeting card.

At work in the big city!

Trixie was back at work this afternoon in New York City doing a quick photo shoot for a big name pet food company in Europe.  She turned on the charm, greeted everyone in the studio with a kiss, and then like a true professional, got down to business, nailing every shot they asked for.  When we finished, we took advantage of the beautiful, albeit chilly day, and walked around the city.  We stopped at Lincoln Center to admire the beautiful buildings and take some shots of Trixie and her BFF.  Yes, Trix is wearing her ChillyDogs coat and her BFF has a matching headband.  Strangers even approached us asking about Trixie's fabulous dog coat.
In the background, you can see the Metropolitan Opera House aka The Met.  It is a gorgeous place and we've enjoyed seeing spectacular productions of operas there in the magnificent opera house.
 Trixie gives the best kisses!
Ooooh, and the best part...city pigeons to point!  The pigeons better take cover because next week, the dogs will be taking over the city for the famous Westminster Kennel Club Dog show.

Winter Wonderland Hike - Harriman State Park

Me and Trixie...yes, I'm wearing a ChillyDog fleece headband that matches her coat!
The trails at Harriman State Park glistened with the fresh snow and we enjoyed a strenuous hike through the virgin snow.
Trixie, Savi and Jam, getting rewards for their great recall.
The morning light was just amazing and I regretted forgetting my camera at home.  Fortunately, I had my phone and got some pretty good shots.
A perfect place for the dogs to range out and stretch their legs.
Our own private winter paradise!

Friday frolick in the new snow

Trixie the snow queen
The first Friday of the new year brought another storm, adding 6 inches of fluffy snow on top of the 24 inches we received during the December blizzard!  The dogs thought the snow was great fun and had a blast playing in the yard, a true winter wonderland.

Fresh snow is quite tasty!

Chilly Dogs

Savi sporting her new Chilly Dogs Great White North Winter coat.  I consider these the Northface of dog coats.
The new coats have a  new and improved design, a double buckle for a better fit.
Jam, wearing a purple Chilly Dogs coat, a color that they discontinued years ago but one we absolutely adore on our dogs.  These coats are terrific quality and wear beautifully, even after years and many washings.
Trixie started the Pink trend...years ago we requested a coat made in fuchsia fleece and it was such a hit that it was added to the Chilly Dog's line.
