Savi's training is progressing well, she is finding the planted pigeon using her nose, pointing on a check cord and allowed to chase.

Mike picks up the "sleeping"bird and replants it so that it will fly if disturbed.
Savi's pretty excited about this whole thing...
A nice staunch point...
She's not frightened when the bird flushes and marks where it goes...
and then she's off for the chase...
If you click on this photo to enlarge it, you can see a speck of grey, that's Savi and the white of the flying pigeon. We use homing pigeons and they return to their coop. Savi is not yet ready for us to shoot the blank gun and we will wait until she is really intense on the birds with a lot of drive so as not to scare her with the shot.
