A very pregnant Trixie...how many buns in the oven?

We went to the vet today for an xray and the result was somewhat inconclusive but the vet thinks seven puppies! We'll know for sure very soon...

New Junior Hunter title for Sky!!!

We are proud to announce the first AKC titled puppy out of our Trixie/Parker litter.

Congratulations to Sky, Grayhart Lightfoot Early Morning Rain, new JH and handler/owner Debbie Moody!!!
Sky has shown natural ability in the field, earning her first JH leg at 6 months 1 week of age and completing this title at 9 months of age. A wonderful accomplishment.

Sky will now begin training for her Senior Hunter title and continue her training in tracking, agility and obedience...oh, and continue to add to her show points!

A Family Affair

We had a great time hanging out with Daddy Parker, below, and half sister Katie, as well the other Hibourne Weimaraners at a hunt test on Long Island last weekend.

Katie, in the green collar, and Jam loved chasing after each other and playing like only puppies know how to do.

It was quite entertaining watching the girls take turns in their game of tag.

Congratulations Monty!

More terrific news this week...Monty and owner Cathy, earned their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certificate today. Monty, aka Grayhart's Stone Free, is the first in his litter to earn this title which is a pre-Canine Good Citizen test for puppies under one year of age., who complete a basic puppy obedience class and can demonstrate specific skills.

Monty will join Jam, Mia and Ranger on Saturday, when they take the S.T.A.R. test and we enjoy a puppy reunion with all our stars!

Marshall wins his first show point!

Marshall, Grayhart's In from the Storm, won his first point from the puppy class, going Best of Winners and Best Opposite this past weekend at a show in Missouri. Marshall was expertly handled by his owner Laura Roehrich. Marshall was the green boy from our Trixie/Parker litter.

Presents from Mia

Huge thanks to Michele and Mia for the new toys that are a big hit with all three of my dogs.I put them away for a snowy day which happened to be Monday and the response was hysterical. Trixie, who is not super playful with toys, went crazy when I picked up the package and followed me into the kitchen while I cut the fastener open.

I gave her one toy and she started squeaking it and jumping around with it and then ran to her bed and in minutes had slit its throat and was ripping out the stuffing, lol!

I took the squeaker out to avoid an accident and took the toy away from her before she completely destroyed it.

Jam, who is our toy guru, LOVES them. Check out her blog for the pictures. Wotan had a good time too and has not destroyed his yet :)

These toys will be wonderful in the puppy pen!
