T-C Pups Day 46: Watch what happens

We all had a busy day trying to catch up on lost time due to the storm. The weather was surprisingly warm, so after I returned from a snow hike with Trixie and Jam, the pups had their first trip outside and were served lunch on the deck. Then it was play time in the snow. They were so curious and loved running around in it.
These pups will be going to their new homes in two weeks and except for one, all the rest will have to get used to the snow, which I'm sure will still be here.
Follow the leader through the snow...
Future tracking dog!
Then the switch went off and the good times started!
Stalking the pups on the other side of the pile of snow.
She's even got a little smile
A little deep in places...
Then we ushered the pups inside for playtime in the kitchen before the big surprise...

The puppy pen received a total makeover! It needed a major overhaul after the power outage and the design team went to work, installed new flooring and freshened everything up. The pups enjoyed checking out the renovated pen and had to get used to walking on the vinyl flooring. It is much more slippery than the rubber matting but it didn't take long for them to get used to it. It is important to expose the pups to many different kinds of things including flooring. We work hard to do this and try to follow the "Rule of Seven", where for different categories, the pups are exposed to seven different types of each thing. They were quite tired from all the excitement and needed a nap...the donut bed is still an old favorite, even if they all don't fit.

So where is the one going that doesn't have to get used to the snow? North Carolina by any chance?? You know you love your southern girls;)

Excuse me but after seeing the snow by Sky's house and the little by Mia, I wouldn't consider NC snow free, lol! Yes, I love my southern girls but none of the Bravo pups are moving down south. One of them is going to sunny California and at the other extreme, one is going to Alaska!

Dang, these pics give me puppy fever! This is a nice, healthy looking bunch of pups. I love the one with the little cowlick on it's face, cute as a bug in a rug! Wish one of these little ones was heading down our way so we could enjoy watching them grow!

Well ladies, too bad neither one of you found us another North Carolina puppy home...it seems to be a fab place for Grayhart pups to grow up, southern accent and all! Maybe one from the next litter...

As much as I love puppies, I am content right now with an "older" pup. Mia-belle is old enough and trained enough that we can hang out and she can "chill" with me but still young enough do to cute "puppy" things. Last night, she was just racing around the room at DogTrain when were packing up to go home...such a puppy:) I may be ready for another come the next litter...we'll see;)

That would be awesome! Enjoy your time with Mia-belle, they grow up so quickly and it is quite a challenge once you add another pup to the mix, especially when continue to train and show the older ones...I know from experience :)
