2013 GSWC Independent Specialty Show

Weimaraner etched glassware for trophies
Last Sunday was the annual Garden State Weimaraner Club Independent Specialty Show at North Branch Park. The club put on our usual outstanding show and everyone had a great time showing dogs, eating the delicious hot and cold buffet supplied by club members and winning raffle prizes. This was a special occasion as it was the club's 30th anniversary of running our show.  As trophy chair, I was in charge of buying and organizing all the trophies and sponsors for them and was pleased with how they looked set up outside the ring and the winners seemed to enjoy them.

Our Grayhart entry at the show was Ella, Grayhart's How High the Moon, (Summit x Jam), who just turned a year in September.  She had not been shown since a weekend in March and I was pleased with how well she showed after such a long absence from the ring and with little training.  She stacked and gaited like a show dog and won her sweepstakes class.  She also came in 4th place in the competitive Bred-by-Exhibitor class.  A nice showing at such a big show.

Gaiting on the down and back. Ella has nice reach and drive.
The Bred-by-Exhibitor class, lined up in catalog order.
Many of our friends were at the specialty and two of our Fast Times pups, CeCe and Reagan, were there to visit.  We had fun playing with the pups and had a fantastic time visiting with friends.
