Watching Westminster

Savi watching the Terrier Group.  Savi's daddy Clay won the breed at Westminster in 2007.
An annual tradition and one we thoroughly enjoy, is watching the Westminster Kennel Club dog show also known as America's Dog Show.  It truly is the greatest dog show in the world and always an exciting time, from checking online to seeing who won the breed in Weimaraners and our other favorite breeds, to watching the Group competitions and recognizing friends and handlers on TV.  The winning Weimaraner, Jimmie, BIS BISS Silhouette's Life in the Fast Lane, handled by Keith Pautz (who is also Bravo's handler), looked great and made the cut in the Sporting Group.  Another Weim relative, Schwinn, who is out of Trixie's littermate Rose x Clay, (the identical pedigree to our Clay x Trixie litter that produced Savi), went Best of Opposite.

The big news:  Congratulations to the Westminster 2011 Best in Show winner...the fabulous Scottish Deerhound Hickory with her young handler Angie!

So cute... Savi watching... someday, little girl you'll be there!

It was very exciting to see the Weim and Keith get called out in the group. I love how there are so many "relatives" to the Grayhart family too...

Was very pleased to see the Deerhound go BIS :-)
