Savi's agility weekend was full of firsts & a New NA title!

 Last weekend, Savi made us super proud at the SOJAC Agility Trial at Dream Park in New Jersey.  Savi had not been in the agility ring in two years, as she made her agility debut in North Carolina in 2012, earning two 1st places and NA and NAJ legs, but then we focused on other pursuits like hunting, obedience and motherhood.  Her return to the ring, really only her second time trialing, was a solid one with Savi qualifying 3 out of 4 runs, all with 1st places and she earned her NA or Novice Agility title.  She only needs one more qualifying leg to finish her NAJ or Novice Agility Jumpers with Weaves title.  She was close to qualifying day one in JWW but for some odd reason she kept missing the same weave pole.  In her three other runs, she nailed her weaves and did them independently, something we've been training.  Savi has solid, running contacts and a nice jumping style.  She is a thoughtful dog, so not super speedy at this point but with more experience, the confidence and speed will come.  

Savi is now CH Grayhart's Shear Genius, CD, SH, NA, NSD, NRD, VX!!!

Savi earned her 3rd Novice Standard leg to finish her title under Judge Howard Etzel, who is also a Weimaraner person.  She also earned her 2nd Novice JWW leg under him  Both Q's were with 1st places!

Mia's Amazing Agility Debut!

Mia and I made our agility debut this weekend at the Greater Monroe Kennel Club Trial in Concord, NC - first trial for both of us.  My hope for the weekend was that Mia would run fast, have a great time, and maybe get a Q.  I would never have dreamed that she would Double Q all 3 days!!  She earned her Novice Agility (NA) and Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) titles on our first weekend of trialing!  And, that also qualified her for the Versatile Excellent (VX) rating from the Weimaraner Club of America!  I was beyond thrilled with our Q's but even more than that, I was thrilled that she flew on the courses and had a great time!  She ran all of the standard courses 20-30 seconds under course time and placed on all 6 runs (two 1st placements and a 2nd placement in standard and two 1st placements and a 3rd placement in jumpers).  It was truly an amazing weekend for us both and I couldn't be prouder!!

Mia-belle Agility Star!

 Practice makes perfect and for Jessica & Mia-belle it sure paid off.  On their agility debut, they had an outstanding weekend with 3 double Q's to earn Mia's NA (Novice Agility Standard) & NAJ (Novice Agility Jumpers) with 1st places & her WCA VX (Versatile Excellent) title!

Mia-belle is now CH Grayhart's Special Request,CDX, RA, NA, NAJ, NSD, NRD, VX!!!!

Mia-belle had awesome runs and was even 20 seconds under course time to win the Novice Standard class on Saturday!

We couldn't be prouder of this talented team and look forward to seeing the videos of their runs!

Mia-belle debuts in agility with a double Q!!!

Proud to announce that Jessica & Mia-belle, CH Grayhart's Special Request, CDX, RA, NSD, NRD,V, (Zeke x Trixie) made their agility debut today, double Qing & were 1st place in Nov JWW & 2nd place Nov Standard! This team is on a roll!  I guess Mia-belle inherited Trixie's agility genes.

Run fast, run clean!

Savi makes her agility debut with a splash!

Savi made her agility debut at the Tarheel Weimaraner Club Agility Trial in Sanford, NC last weekend.  I was so proud of how my little girl ran and received lots of compliments on her.  The judge could not believe this was her first trial.  On Saturday, Savi did not qualify in either Novice Standard nor Jumpers but was very close.  I realized that I needed to support her more and really hold my signals while keeping a steady motion forward.  She held her stay at the start line and amazed me that she nailed her weaves in 3 out of 4 of the weekends runs.

On Sunday, Savi earned her first Novice JWW (Jumpers with Weaves) legs with a 2nd place!  In addition to her ribbon, she received a stuffed toy and the TWC had special trophies for qualifying Weims so we picked a toy quail which I know Savi will love for water retrieves.  At the end of very long trial weekend, Savi was the last dog to run and what an exciting finish to have her qualify for her first Novice Standard leg and again, got 1st place!!!  More toys and special Weim trophies.  Wow, what a way to start, double qualifying and two 1st places!

Savi earned a 1st place in Novice Standard and a 2nd place in Novice JWW.  Plus we had a shopping bag full of toys and trophies.

New Novice Agility title for Sky!

Congratulations to Debbie Moody and her girl Sky, CH Grayhart Lightfoot Early Morning Rain,RN,JH,TD,NA,NSD,NRD,VX, for earning her Novice Agility (NA) Standard title last weekend!  Sky finished this title with 1st places for all three qualifying legs!  An impressive accomplishment.

Sky also double-qualified at last Saturday's trial, qualifying in both Novice Standard and Novice Jumpers with Weaves (JWW).  Sky earned a 1st place in Novice Standard with a lightening fast run 30-seconds under course time and a 2nd place in JWW.

Sky's Novice Standard Agility run

Sky, CH Grayhart Lightfoot Early Morning Rain, RN,JH,TD,NSD,NRD,CGC,VX, running in the Novice Standard class on November 27th in Pendleton, SC.  No "Q" for this run due to a missed dogwalk contact but Sky had a lovely run, controlled, focused and nailed her weave poles.  This girl has a ton of potential and I know that Sky and Debbie have many Q's in their future.
