New NSD for Sky!

Today, at the Tarheel Weimaraner Club Ratings test in North Carolina, Sky earned her Novice Shooting Dog title! The NSD is a Weimaraner Club of America title and it is similar to the Junior Hunter class at AKC hunt tests.

Debbie reported that Sky hunted well, had two bird finds and a beautiful, solid point. This is great news as Sky will be competing in her second hunt test on Sunday.

Sky is the first Trixie and Parker puppy to earn a title!

Debbie took Sky for some field training and as you can see, this bitch is a birdy one!
Not only did Sky find the planted birds, but surprised Debbie and pointed wild birds!

Debbie is teaching Sky to stay steady on her point and not allow her to go in on the bird.

Using a checkcord, Debbie can keep control of Sky and teach her to "whoa," a hold the point command, until the bird is flushed.

and a little stacking practice to complete the day for our versatile girl!

Trixie's New Beau - Meet Zeke

Introducing Zeke, Champion OB's 38 Special

Trixie will be bred to Zeke in the near future and we couldn't be more excited. This breeding combines two outstanding pedigrees and dogs with wonderful health and temperaments.

Big Weekend for Sky

Sky, Grayhart Lightfoot Early Morning Rain, made her show debut this weekend and won both Saturday and Sunday, earning a total of 2 points!!! Sky is from our Trixie/Parker litter. Check out her reach and drive...just lovely.
