First snow of the season

In the Northeast, we received our first storm of Winter 2013 and it turned our yard into a winter wonderland.  The girls donned their ChillyDog coats and were ready to play in the snow.

 Savi's switch went off and she had a case of the zoomies!

Snowday!

 The first snowstorm of 2012 left about six inches of snow for the dogs to play in, and play they did.  A good thing, as we were stuck at the house and the driveway did not get plowed until 4:30 pm.

 Next thing I knew, she was practicing her 2 on, 2 off agility contacts!

 No treats for Jam at the bottom of the teeter but she can't help but look.

Savi was utterly exhausted after running like a gazelle through the snow all afternoon.  She didn't even care when Trixie decided to share the dog bed.

Snowtober!

Not everyone was upset by the freak snowstorm that enveloped the Northeast at the end of October.  Whitmore, Grayhart's Millionaire Matchmaker, (Clay x Trixie), had a blast playing in the snow.  Thanks to his owner, Chris McNeil, for taking these amazing shots.

Snow in October???

 Snow storm in October?  Well , we received 8 inches of snow and lost power, heat and water....Electric service isn't expected to be restored until between Thursday and Saturday.  All we can do is make the best of the situation and be thankful that our house did not sustain any damage from the numerous trees and branches that fell.

Weimie Winter Olympics - Snowball Catch

 A fresh foot of snow, our 6th storm of the winter, made for great fun and a new set of games.  First up in the Weimie Winter Olympics - Snowball Catch!  Competing, we have Savi and Jam...finishing their warm-up lap around the house.

New Snow - time for another snow hike!

With 4 new inches of snow, we headed out with Jam and Savi for a wonderful hike in the beautiful woods of northern New Jersey.  Enjoy the slide show!

Calm before the next storm...

 It seems that we've had a snowstorm every week this winter and it was wonderful to get out today, on this balmy 42 degree day, to get in a hike before the next snowstorm, predicted for Friday.  The dogs were in total agreement and ran full out, enjoying the chance to explore the woods and play in the snow.
