The puppies had their first trip to the vet yesterday and had their tails docked and dew claws removed. The vet was very impressed with how healthy and vigorous this litter is. Of course, everyone oohed and ahhed over how cute they are.

Only one day old and these pups are thriving and all have gained weight. They are an active bunch and in between meals and naps, they enjoy doing laps around the whelping box and climbing under and over Trixie and each other!

Puppies have arrived! 3 boys and 3 girls!

Pink girl and green boy were the first two to be born and the biggest in the litter, 17.5 oz and 17.0 oz! The other pups ranges from 10 - 14.6 ozs.

The whole litter nursing contently on Momma Trixie.

We are more than thrilled with Trixie's uneventful delivery of six healthy and beautiful puppies! Mom and pups are doing well.

The Magic Number is....

SIX!!! That is how many puppies we saw in the x-ray at the vet today. It was really amazing to see six little skulls and spines.

Trixie looks great and now weighs a whopping 72 lbs.

Trixie Day 54 - How many puppy-buns in the oven?

Tomorrow is the big xray day when we will find out for sure how many puppies to expect.

Trixie seems unaware of her ever-expanding figure. Sweet as ever but ravenous as meal time...

Only a week and a half away from the big day, Trixie-Mama is showing and has lost her model figure.
