Ben Stein & Trixie

Trixie truly charmed Ben Stein in this online commercial for the New York Times. It was filmed in April of 2008 and hard to believe, but Trixie was one month pregnant with her Parker litter. The entire piece was unscripted and the crew just filmed Ben and Trixie for about two hours as Ben surfed the NY Times online and fawned over Trixie. This piece is part of a series of video vignettes promoting the NY Times online services released in December of 2008.

T-Z Pups Day 15 - First Toy!

The puppies received their first toy today, a soft, pink octopus! They were quite curious and enjoyed smelling, tasting and climbing all over it. The pups have also begun interacting with each other and it is quite entertaining watching the beginnings of what will evolve into playing and socializing. Gradually, we will add other toys that make noise and offer different textures for the pups to explore.

T-Z Pups Day 13 Passed out

Miss Pink finds Momma Trixie to be the perfect pillow for a nap.
Sleeping is serious business for these babies who seem to be growing in their sleep. All of the pups eyes have opened but we have a restriction on flash photography until there eyes have been open awhile, hence the sleeping pictures. I'll try to get some pictures or video of the pups trying out their legs and walking around the whelping box. It is an adorable sight to see!

Mr. Orange actually likes to sleep all sprawled out like a drunken sailor. Miss Purple is not picky and makes due using his leg as a pillow.

T-Z Pups Day 12 - I can see clearly now...

Virtually overnight, the puppies have started opening their eyes and we see hints of their gorgeous blue eyes.
Another exciting development was seeing Miss Purple and Mr. Orange WALKING!!!

All the pups get special kisses and loads of cuddling, especially since they are so irresistable.

T-Z Pups Day 9 Fat and Happy

Trixie has been doing a superb job taking care of her babies. They are well fed and immaculate. All have doubled their birth weight and our large girl, Miss Yellow, tipped the scale at almost 2 1/2 pounds tonight!

Today's really exciting news is that some of the pups are trying to walk. They are pushing themselves up into a semi-sitting position. My bet is on Miss Pink and Mr. Blue to be the first to walk.
