Best Buds
We've received fabulous reports of the Bravo litter pups settling into their new homes. Yesterday, three of the local pups, Savi, Treynor and Memphis, had their first puppy class with dog trainer and friend, Kathy Santo. These pups are already showing what great performance dogs they will grow into. We worked on building control, sit and some basic manners. The pups and owners even have homework! Above, Memphis strutting his stuff in the our backyard after class.

Last Sunday, was our Bravo Litter Puppy Premiere Party, where five of the local families joined us to socialize, partake in the Grayhart 101 Puppy Class and then take their pups home. It was an amazing day and the camaraderie of this group of puppy people was truly heartwarming. Chris McNeal was kind enough to be the "official" photographer, taking these lovely family portraits as well as chronicling the day with a slide show that you can see here.

And not to be left out, Bliss, aka Miss Pink, flew to Alaska yesterday to join her new family...

T-C Pups Day 56: Eight weeks old and little houligans
It's amazing that the Bravo litter turned eight weeks old today. These sweet little pups are full of spit and vinegar and love nothing better than to play and wrestle with each other. For a special treat, I gave them bully sticks to enjoy on the deck and it turned into a massive game of keep away and tug of war, with some chew time thrown in.
Clever black boy hid the bully stick under his body with only the end sticking out.

T-c Pups Day 53 & 54:Say Cheese
Yesterday, the pups went for their temperament testing and were wiped out after the long day of testing and found my friend's daughter's lap to be the perfect place to crash. My good friend and dog trainer, Kathy Santo, administered Sheila Booth's Positive Puppy Preview. This tests the puppy's temperament, birdiness, biddability, if a pup's drive can overcome stress, as well as toy, food and prey drive. This litter was deemed a working/performance litter full of birdy, confident, little retrieving machines.
The temperament test is only a snapshot but does give me valuable information added to the countless hours I have spent playing with and observing the puppies. All this, along with the conformation evaluation, is used to help me decide which puppy would do best in each home.

T-C Pups Day 52: More good times and sunshine
Tag you're it!
Let's get ready to rumble!
The Holey Roller ball is a favorite
We were blessed with another winner of a day today - gorgeous weather and good friends. The day started with coffee for me and a romp on the deck for the pups.
All of these pups love to retrieve and play tug of war.
Who's that doggy in the window?Luke, one of the most adorable and engaging babies, came with proud parents, Patrick and Veronica, Ranger's owners.
Veronika, smitten with the pups.

Ranger got lots of attention from us but could not play with his littermate Jam, who is in season.
Monty's family also came by for a visit...had to see the pups before they went to their new homes.
